Ted Kennedy - a saint? I don't think so...

Sorry Ted Kennedy is dead, I'm sure he had things that he did that he was proud of - and introduced bills that helped his voters up in the New England area - but canonized? I think not...

All we know about Ted Kennedy is he was infamous for getting drunk and making a spectacle of himself in Palm Beach. He also had a penchant for wearing ugly boxer shorts with a dress shirt and a tie askew according to the woman his nephew raped.

Like Uncle, Like nephew in my opinion -

The evil men do live after them and these pictures certainly reinforce this Shakespearean thought!

The 'Frog' Prince and his Lady Windsor...

In the past I've let the lyrics of songs do a 'story book' telling of 'the tale'.

I suppose I must add some adjectives for this one though, as I know enough about the Duke and Duchess of Windsor to write a book - but unfortunately there would be no redeeming characters.

Willfull, selfish, boyish, arrogant, sloathful, irresponsible, lonely, sexually frustrated, and enralled and entranced by a woman who could be mistaken for a bug.

And Bessie Wallis Monteque? Multi-married, unhappy, fashion driven (don't say a word - as I know that is one of my own faults, sigh).

Conniving, confusing, manipulating, grander than the entire royal family all put together simple, neat-as-pin, bitch - with maybe a little promiscuity thrown in -

It was said she was a hermophodite. I doubt it. However I don't doubt that the Duke had a lot of problems in the sexual area of his life as one of his former mistresses, Thelma Furness called him 'the little man' and his cousin Nicholas, Czar of All Russians had made the same innuendo when they were old enough to have matured in that physical 'area'. Bluntly "finger dick".

The two lived a worthless, parasitic life that has capitvated historians and loath to admit it - 'myself'.

Let's not dwell on the negative. Let's rather enjoy the song Cole Porter wrote with them in mind. "Night and Day"

Like the beat beat beat of the tom-tom
When the jungle shadows fall
Like the tick tick tock of the stately clock
As it stands against the wall

Like the drip drip drip of the raindrops
When the summer shower is through
So a voice within me keeps repeating
You, you, you

Night and day, you are the one
Only you beneath the moon or under the sun

Whether near to me, or far
It's no matter darling where you are
I think of you
Day and night, night and day, why is it so

That this longing for you follows wherever I go
In the roaring traffic's boom
In the silence of my lonely room
I think of you
Day and night, night and day

Under the hide of me
There's an oh such a hungry yearning burning inside of me

And this torment won't be through
Until you let me spend my life making love to you
